Agnes A. Harm is a Deputy Team Leader for the Sustainable Development Team in the office of the President of the 77th Session on the United Nations General Assembly.<\/p>\n
Prior to this, Ms. Harm served as the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Fiji Mission to the UN where she handled work in the Second Committee and oversight on the third. She was actively engaged with the sub-regional groupings namely G77 plus China and AOSIS. As former Chair of the Pacific SIDS and Pacific Islands Forum, Ms. Harm coordinated the regional technical working group meetings and the PSIDS successfully negotiated the inclusion of the Forum Declaration on preserving maritime zones in the face of climate change related sea level rise, addressing the relationship between sea level rise brought about by climate change, and maritime zones. Ms. Harm has also Co- Facilitated several UN Resolutions such as the preparation of draft conclusions and recommendations of the 2021 FfD Forum, LDC Graduation for Bangladesh, Vanuatu, Lao PDR, and Vietnam and most recently the Geospatial Information Management Systems within ECOSOC for instance.<\/p>\n
Ms. Harm has previously served as a UN Coordination Specialist based in the UN Pacific Multi Country Office prior to joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has over 15 years of national and regional sustainable development experience, focusing on Governance and International Relations.<\/p>\n
She holds Masters degree in Governance and International Relations and Diplomacy.<\/p>\n
