The Ministerial Meeting of Africa Day at the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development 2026 takes place on 15 July on the theme: ¡°Advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Agenda 2063 through Transformative and Coordinated Actions.¡±
African Member States will share best practices and lessons learned and present their Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) on implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the African Union Agenda 2063.
Building on the outcomes of recent key events such as the 12th session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-12) in April 2026, the Africa Dialogue Series in May 2026 and the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development in July 2025, this Africa Day at the HLPF will support efforts to put the Sustainable Development Goals back on track while making progress in implementing Agenda 2063.
Participation is open to all, including Member States, policymakers, civil society, academia and the media.
