Dr Yensi Flores Bueso?is a Marie Sk?odowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at University College Cork and University of Washington. Her research integrates synthetic biology and AI-driven protein design to create new proteins with applications in health and sustainability.
She works at the interface of science and policy to promote open, inclusive, and responsible research systems. She serves as? (2024¨C2026), representing early-career researchers on the ?UN Secretary-General¡¯s Scientific Advisory Board. She is also a member of the Independent Group of Scientists preparing the? and of the? ?of the International Science Council Forum on Publishing and Research Assessment.
Her recent work includes co-leading the first global study on? and contributing to discussions on open science and responsible research assessment at forums such as the? ? and the? UN Open Science Conference.
