\t<\/span>The Security Council<\/u>,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Having further heard<\/u> the charges of the representative of Lebanon concerning interference by the United Arab Republic in the internal affairs of Lebanon and the reply of the representative of the United Arab Republic,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

1.\t<\/span>Requests<\/u> the Secretary-General to make arrangements forthwith for such measures, in addition to those envisaged by the resolution of 11 June 1958, as he may consider necessary in the light of the present circumstances, with a view to enabling the United Nations to fulfil the general purposes established in that resolution, and which will, in accordance with the Charter, serve to ensure the territorial integrity and political independence of Lebanon, so as to make possible the withdrawal of United States force from Lebanon;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

2.\t<\/span>Requests<\/u> the Secretary-General to report to the Security Council on the arrangements made;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

3.\t<\/span>Calls upon<\/u> the Governments concerned to co-operate fully in the implementation of this resolution.<\/p><\/div>\n

The security Council on 22 July 1958 voted on the draft resolution as follows:<\/p><\/div>\n
