 I have the honour to write to you in reference to document S\/2012\/10 dated 2 January 2012 concerning matters of which the Security Council is seized and the stage reached in their consideration. In this connection, on instructions from my Government, I have the honour to inform you that the Syrian Arab Republic requests the retention of the following items listed in paragraph 3 of the above-mentioned document:<\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

 69.  The question of the exercise by the Palestinian people of its inalienable rights.<\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

 72.  Letter dated 4 February 1986 from the Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations addressed to the President of the Security Council (S\/17787).<\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

 73.  Letter dated 15 April 1986 from the Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations addressed to the President of the Security Council (S\/17993).<\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

 81.  Letter dated 5 October 2003 from the Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic to the United Nations addressed to the President of the Security Council (S\/2003\/939).<\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

 I take this opportunity to reaffirm the position of the Syrian Arab Republic set out in the letter dated 9 February 1998 from the Permanent Representative of the Syrian Arab Republic addressed to the President of the Security Council (S\/1998\/111). <\/p><\/div>\n
