SECRETARY-GENERAL<\/p><\/div>\n

I have the honour to inform you that my Government, in keeping with its tradition of respect for the principles of the United Nations, and in accordance with Security Council resolution 478, of 20 August 1980, has decided to withdraw from the Holy City of Jerusalem its diplomatic Mission to the State of Israel.<\/p><\/div>\n

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica is today communicating this decision to His Excellency the Ambassador of Israel at San Jose`.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

I request you to regard this communication as a document of the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n
