The Chief of Staff of UNTSO, Major-General Ensio Siilasvuo, has submitted the following report on incidents observed by United Nations military observers on 1 October 1972:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\tIsrael-Lebanon sector<\/u>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tReport from OP Ras:1<\/u>\/  Between 0400 2<\/u>\/ and l600 Israel forces personnel, armoured personnel carrier and vehicle reoccupied position at point approximate MR 1907-2749 north of border pillar 19.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tIsrael-Syria sector <\/u>OP reports:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(a)\t<\/span>OP Yoke: Between 1252 and 1256 machine-gun fire and at 1320 one round of mortar fire by Israel forces.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(b)\t<\/span>OP Six:  Between 1817 and 1826 sporadic machine-gun fire and two flares by Israel forces.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
