Official communiqué of the 4878th (closed) meeting of the Security Council<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Held in private at Headquarters, New York, on Thursday, 11 December 2003, at 3.30 p.m.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

In accordance with rule 55 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, the following communiqué was issued through the Secretary-General in place of a verbatim record:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>“On 11 December 2003, the Security Council, pursuant to annex II, sections A and B of resolution <\/span>1353 (2001)<\/a>, held its 4878th meeting in private with the troop-contributing countries to the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF).<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>“The Security Council and the troop-contributing countries heard a briefing under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure by Mr. Julian Harston, Director of the Asia and Middle East Division of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>“The members of the Council had a constructive exchange of views with representatives of participating troop-contributing countries.”\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
