QUESTION OF THE VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE OCCUPIED ARAB TERRITORIES, INCLUDING PALESTINE (agenda item 4) (<\/span>continued<\/u><\/span>) (<\/span>E\/CN.4\/1994\/14<\/a>)<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

55.\t<\/span>The CHAIRMAN<\/u> read out the following declaration:  <\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t\t<\/span>"The Commission deplores the massacre of innocent Palestinian worshippers in Hebron today and the consequent outbreak of violence leading to loss of lives in the Palestinian occupied territories.  <\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t\t<\/span>The Commission takes note of the unequivocal condemnation by the Israeli Government of this act and urges the Israeli occupation authorities to fulfil their responsibility to prevent such crimes and to punish the perpetrators.  Such incidents are part of a pattern of violence that endangers the peace process in the Middle East."<\/p><\/div>\n
