\n\t\t\t\tNew Zealand: draft resolution<\/u>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>The Security Council<\/u>,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>Having<\/u> considered the complaint of Israel against Egypt concerning:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>(a)\t<\/span>Enforcement by Egypt of restrictions on the passage of ships trading with Israel through the Suez Canal;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>(b)\t<\/span>Interference by Egypt with shipping proceeding to the Israeli port of Elath on the Gulf of Aqaba (S\/3168),\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>Noting<\/u> the statements made before the Council by the representatives of Egypt and Israel,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>Recalling<\/u> its resolution of 1 September 1951 (S\/2298\/Rev.1),\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t1.\t<\/span>Notes<\/u> with grave concern that Egypt has not complied with that resolution;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t2.\t<\/span>Calls upon<\/u> Egypt, in accordance with its obligations under the Charter, to comply therewith;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t3.\t<\/span>Considers<\/u> that, without prejudice to the provisions of the resolution of 1 September 1951, the complaint referred to in sub-paragraph (b) above should in the first instance be dealt with by the Mixed Armistice Commission established under the General Armistice Agreement between Egypt and Israel.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
