The Chief of Staff of UNTSO, Major-General Ensio Siilasvuo has submitted the following report on incidents observed by United Nations military observers on 28 October 1972.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\tIsrael-Lebanon sector<\/u>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tReport from OP Ras: 1<\/u>\/  Between 0430 2<\/u>\/ and 1505 Israel forces personnel, armoured personnel carrier and trailer reoccupied position at approximate MR 1907-2749 north of border pillar 19.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tIsrael-Syria sector <\/u>OP reports:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(a)\t<\/span>OP Romeo:  Between 0345 and 0349 and between 0515 and 0518 machine-gun fire by Israel forces.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(b)\t<\/span>OP Five: At O405 machine-gun fire, which ceased immediately, and between 0922 and 0937 artillery fire by Israel forces (confirmed by OPs Six and Two).\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(c)\t<\/span>OP Yoke:  Between 0506 and 0518 machine-gun and small-arms fire, between 0836 and 0843 four rounds of mortar fire and between 1223 and 1225 machine-gun fire, all by Israel forces.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(d)\t<\/span>OP Six:  Between 08l8 and 0828 three rounds of artillery fire by Israel forces (confirmed by OPs Zodiac, Yoke, X-Ray and Five).\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(e)\t<\/span>OP One: At 0854 machine-gun fire, which ceased immediately, by Israel forces.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(f)\t<\/span>OP Three:  Between 0921 and 0935 five rounds of mortar fire by Israel forces.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
