12 Implementation of 186 EX\/Decision 12 on “The two Palestinian sites of al-Haram al-Ibr<\/strong><\/span>ā<\/strong><\/span>h<\/strong><\/span>ī<\/strong><\/span>m<\/strong><\/span>ī<\/strong><\/span>\/Tomb of the Patriarchs in al-Khal<\/strong><\/span>ī<\/strong><\/span>l\/Hebron and the Bil<\/strong><\/span>ā<\/strong><\/span>l ibn Rab<\/strong><\/span>ā<\/strong><\/span>h Mosque\/Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem” <\/strong><\/span>(187 EX\/12; 187 EX\/54)<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

After considering this item, the Programme and External Relations Commission (PX) recommended by a vote taken by roll-call that the Executive Board adopt the following draft decision, with 43 votes in favour, 1 vote against and 12 abstentions, the United States of America having voted against; details of the vote are annexed to the summary record of the seventh plenary meeting of the Board, at which the oral report of the PX Commission was presented:<\/p><\/div>\n

1. Having examined document 187 EX\/12,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

2. Recalls its previous decision 185 EX\/Decision 15 “The two Palestinian sites of al-Haram al-Ibrahimi\/Tomb of the Patriarchs in al-Khal<\/span>ī<\/span>l\/Hebron and the Bil<\/span>ā<\/span>l ibn Rab<\/span>ā<\/span>h Mosque\/Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem”;<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

3. Notes that the status of Palestine is the subject of ongoing deliberations at the United Nations in New York;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

4. Also notes the lack of progress in the implementation of 185 EX\/Decision 15;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

5. Requests the Director-General to maintain her efforts to implement the above-mentioned decision;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

6. Invites the Director-General to submit to it a follow-up report at its 189th session, and decides to include this item in the agenda of its 189th session.<\/p><\/div>\n
