Children are increasingly vulnerable to chronic malnutrition, stunting, micro-nutrient deficiencies and diarrhoeal diseases. Their school days are being lost\/disrupted. Their psychosocial health has seriously weakend. <\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:11px;font-size:11pt;font-family:Verdana, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">Through its main office in Jerusalem and five zonal offices, and in coordination with other local and international aid actors, UNICEF continues to respond to the humanitarian needs of the most vulnerable children and women in the territories. However, limited funding has strained UNICEF&#39;s ability to undertake all the planned interventions. Of the US$ 13.8 million requested as part of the UN Consolidated Appeal for OPT for 2004, UNICEF has only received some US$ 4 million, covering less than 30% of the overall resource requirements.
