It compiles health information received from the different organizations working in the most affected areas.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The Health Cluster Bulletin will be issued every other Wednesday.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\n<table cellspacing=\"0\" background=\"#000000\" width=\"100%\" style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:initial;margin-right:auto;\">\n<tr>\n<td width=\"100%\" valign=\"top\" style=\"border-color:#000000;border-style:solid;border-top-width:1px;border-bottom-width:1px;border-left-width:1px;border-right-width:1px;\">\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<strong>Highlights<\/strong>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\t\/&#8230;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\t<strong><u>Nahr El-Bared Crisis<\/u><\/strong>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;margin-left:60px;\">\n\t\t\t\t&#8226; The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) is leading the Humanitarian and Relief interventions in response to the Nahr El-Bared Crisis.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;margin-left:60px;\">\n\t\t\t\t&#8226; Return of Internally Displaced Refugees (IDRs) to Naher El-Bared &#8220;new camp&#8221; continues.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>Situation overview<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong><u>Nahr El-Bared Crisis<\/u><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; Since 13 November October 2007, around 1,200 IDR families have returned to Nahr El-Bared camp and were all assisted with medical services and food and non-food items.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; Health sub-cluster meetings are held on a weekly basis in the North of Lebanon where the partners coordinate their activities in order to prevent duplication and wastage of resources.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; Psychosocial support for IDRs is a priority.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; Reproductive primary health care services will be resumed at the &#8220;new camp&#8221; in December.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>Health Response to the Humanitarian Crisis<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">National and international Health Cluster partners are providing support in four core areas:<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\n<table cellspacing=\"0\" background=\"#000000\" width=\"100%\" style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:initial;margin-right:auto;\">\n<tr>\n<td width=\"100%\" valign=\"top\" style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;border-color:#000000;border-style:solid;border-top-width:1px;border-bottom-width:1px;border-left-width:1px;border-right-width:1px;\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>1. The next meeting is scheduled for 27 November 2007.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; UNRWA Commissioner General and the Special Coordinator of the UN Secretary-General visited Nahr El Bared &#8220;new camp&#8221; as well as the UNRWA compound in the old camp. The visit included the temporary shelters accommodating the returnees, the collective centers, the water wells, as well as a briefing by the health team on ongoing activities.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; UNRWA Commissioner General met wit the Popular Committees of North Lebanon to discuss issues related to the return to the Nahr el Bared camp.<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\n<table cellspacing=\"0\" background=\"#000000\" width=\"100%\" style=\"text-align:left;margin-left:initial;margin-right:auto;\">\n<tr>\n<td width=\"100%\" valign=\"top\" style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;border-color:#000000;border-style:solid;border-top-width:1px;border-bottom-width:1px;border-left-width:1px;border-right-width:1px;\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>3. Filling health gaps<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">\/&#8230;<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong><u>Nahr El-Bared Crisis<\/u><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; UNRWA set up a health clinic in Nahr El Bared&#8216;s sector C.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; UNRWA and the Islamic Relief continue to spray the camp with insecticides on daily basis.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is providing ambulance services to the Nahr El Bared camp. PRCS also set up 2 mobile clinics in the Nahr El Bared sectors A and B.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; Norwegian People&#8217;s Aid (NPA) is continuing to provide health services for the disabled.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; Netherlands Red Cross continues to cover the cost of in-patient care at Safad PRCS hospital for non-IDRs.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; UNRWA is continuing the rodent control and disinfection campaign in Nahr El Bared &#8220;new camp&#8221; including insecticides spraying, removal and burning of dead animals, and removal of rubbish and damaged furniture by sanitation laborers. Rat baits have also been distributed.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; UNRWA assistance to the IDRs is maintained through the provision of medical services at its clinics as well as contractual tertiary care hospitals.
