Palestinian legislative elections on January 25, 2006<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

France welcomes with satisfaction the developments at the beginning of the week regarding voting by residents of East Jerusalem in the Palestinian legislative elections on January 25, and in particular the announcement by Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz that Israel would permit voting by Palestinians in Jerusalem. <\/p><\/div>\n

This voting is an essential condition for the whole Palestinian election to proceed satisfactorily. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

France is also pleased with the statements by the Palestinian president about holding the legislative elections as scheduled on January 25. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n
