To attend, please register\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dirco.gov.za\/docs\/2016\/media0812.htm\"><u>online<\/u><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div align=\"center\"><b><i><u>Europe<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"18\" data-lineheight=\"27px\"><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>From 26 to 28 August, <a href=\"http:\/\/dochouse.org\/\"><u>Berth DocHouse<\/u><\/a><u>,<\/u>\u00a0a UK-based documentary centre, in partnership with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.map-uk.org\/\"><u>Medical Aid for Palestinians<\/u><\/a>\u00a0will be hosting in London a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dochouse.org\/cinema\/screenings\/dochouse-first-ambulance-dir-qa-skype\"><u>screening<\/u><\/a>\u00a0of the documentary\u00a0<i>Ambulance<\/i>. The screening is followed by a Skype Q&amp;A with director Mohamed Jabaly and hosted by British filmmaker and journalist Jenny Kleeman. Through the documentary, Jabaly, who was given permission to join an ambulance crew, gives a first-person account of the Gaza conflict in the summer of 2014.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 13 September, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stjohneyehospital.org\/\"><u>St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital<\/u><\/a>\u00a0will be hosting in London a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/billetto.co.uk\/en\/events\/afif-safieh-lecture-and-reception\"><u>lecture and reception<\/u><\/a>\u00a0by Palestinian diplomat\u00a0<i>Affif Saffieh<\/i>.Saffieh has served as Palestinian ambassador in London, Washington and Moscow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 23 September, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palestinecampaign.org\/events\/bradford-psc-stories-palestine\/\"><u>Palestinian Solidarity Campaign<\/u><\/a>\u00a0will be hosting Iyad Burnat\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.palestinecampaign.org\/events\/se-london-psc-iyad-burnat\/\"><u>launch<\/u><\/a>\u00a0of his new book,\u00a0<i>Bil\u2019in and the Nonviolent Resistance<\/i>\u00a0in London. Burnat is the head of the Bil\u2019in Popular Committee against the Wall, and has led weekly non-violent demonstrations since 2005 against the separation wall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b><i><u>North America<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 19 September, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.auphr.org\/\"><u>Americans United for Palestinian Human Rights<\/u><\/a>\u00a0will be holding a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.google.com\/calendar\/event?eid=bnN1aHVidm9kYjlrdmpqNWI2amZ1OHJhNGsgYzA4Y2NyNTFkdHNwZzVpNmRqcW1hdnVjOWdAZw&amp;ctz=America\/Los_Angeles\"><u>talk<\/u><\/a>\u00a0entitled\u00a0<i>No Way to Treat a Child: Palestinian Children\u2013from Gaza and the West Bank<\/i> in Portland, Oregon. Jennifer Bing, of the American Friends Service Committee and Brad Parker, of Defence for Children International-Palestine, and other speakers will address how occupation impacts the\u00a0children in\u00a0Gaza and the West Bank.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00b7\u00a0From 22 to 25 September, the annual\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tpff.ca\/\"><u>Toronto Palestine Film Festival<\/u><\/a>\u00a0will feature the screenings of the following films by Palestinian directors and\/or about Palestine:\u00a0<i>3000 Nights<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Open Bethlehem;<\/i><i>Love, Theft and Other Entanglements,<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tpff.ca\/program-123\/2016\/degrade\"><i>D\u00e9grad\u00e9<\/i><\/a><i><\/i>among others. It will also include performances by Palestinian spoken word artist Rafeef Ziadah.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div align=\"center\"><b><i><u>United Nations<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>On 26 August, the heads of UN Agencies in Palestine published a press release and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ochaopt.org\/content\/gaza-two-years-after\"><u>report<\/u><\/a>\u00a0on the two year anniversary of the 2014 Gaza hostilities, calling for greater flow of material and funding to reverse Gaza\u2019s de-development spiral.
