The Committee and the Division for Palestinian Rights of the UN Secretariat provide the information \u201cas is\u201d without warranty of any kind, and do not accept any responsibility or liability for the accuracy, or reliability of the information contained in the websites linked in the newsletter.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Americas<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 19 April, the Israel Palestine NGO Working Group organized the launch of the second edition of the book \u201cThe General\u2019s Son: Journey of an Israeli in Palestine\u201d, written by Miko Peled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 8 June,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ampalestine.org\/\">American Muslims for Palestine<\/a>\u00a0is organizing an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ampalestine.org\/nakba\/hawthorne.html\">event<\/a>\u00a0in Hawthorne, California, where two of its coordinators will be speaking, as part of a series of events that are being held throughout the country in a national campaign to commemorate the 64 years of the Nakba.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 28 May, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/upjb.be\/\">Union des Progressistes Juifs de Belgique<\/a>\u00a0will be organizing in Brussels a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/upjb.be\/activites\/a-l-upjb\/article\/le-vecu-des-palestiniens-citoyens-d-israel\">panel discussion<\/a> with Haneen Zoabi, a Member of the Knesset, on the subject \u201cThe Life of Palestinian citizens of Israel\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>From 29 May to 2 June, several Palestinian movies will be screened at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bozar.be\/\">Palais des Beaux-Arts<\/a>\u00a0of Brussels, as part of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bozar.be\/fr\/activities\/112662-palestina-with-love\">event<\/a>\u00a0called \u201cPalestina With Love\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Middle East<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On 30 May, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aub.edu.lb\/\">American University of Beirut<\/a>\u00a0is hosting a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aub.edu.lb\/Events\/Pages\/EventDetails.aspx?ItemId=2770\">panel discussion<\/a> \u201cMemories of Palestine and the Syrian Present: Two Book Launches\u201d, organized by Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs in collaboration with the Centre for Arab and Middle Eastern Studies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 3 June,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cfpeace.org\/\">Combatants for Peace<\/a>\u00a0is organizing in Bethlehem a march called \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/cfpeace.org\/event\/\">Forty-nine Years of Occupation: Palestinians and Israelis Change Direction and March Together in the Freedom March<\/a>\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>United Nations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Civil society organizations can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fs22.formsite.com\/unngls\/form25\/index.html\">apply<\/a>\u00a0to attend or speak at the 19 September UN General Assembly High-level Meeting on Addressing Large Movements of Refugees and Migrants and at the 18 July multi-stakeholder hearing in New York.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; This newsletter informs about recent and upcoming activities of Civil Society Organizations affiliated with the United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People.
