To learn more about all ICJ cases related to the question of Palestine, click here to visit the dedicated webpage.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 26 April 2024<\/p>\n On Tuesday 30 April 2024, the International Court of Justice will deliver its Order on the Request for the indication of provisional measures submitted by Nicaragua in the case concerning Alleged Breaches of Certain International Obligations in respect of the Occupied Palestinian Territory (Nicaragua v. Germany). A public sitting will take place at 3 p.m. at the Peace Palace in The Hague, during which Judge Nawaf Salam, President of the Court, will read the Court\u2019s Order.<\/p>\n It is recalled that, on 1 March 2024, Nicaragua filed an Application instituting proceedings<\/a><\/em> against Germany concerning alleged violations by Germany of its obligations deriving from the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and their Additional Protocols, \u201cintransgressible principles of international humanitarian law\u201d and other norms of general international law in relation to the Occupied Palestinian Territory, particularly the Gaza Strip (see press release 2024\/19). The Application also contained a Request for the indication of provisional measures<\/a><\/em>.
