Following the occupation of the West Bank in 1967, Israel unilaterally annexed East Jerusalem along with these surrounding parts of the West Bank and imposed its legal jurisdiction and administration therein. The UN does not recognize the annexation of East Jerusalem, which is considered to be contrary to international law.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unrwa.org\/resources\/fact-sheet\/unrwa-installations-and-services-occupied-east-jerusalem#%5B2%5D\">[2]<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"[1]\" name=\"[1]\"><\/a>[1]\u00a0All information is based on 2024 data. For schools, data is from 2024\/25 school year.
