The UN Development Programme (UNDP) welcomes the announcement of an agreement reached today to secure a ceasefire, humanitarian access, and the release of all hostages from Gaza.<\/p>\n

We echo the UN Secretary-General\u2019s call on all concerned to abide fully by the terms of the agreement, hoping that this development will be the beginning of a new path for people who have endured two years of a brutal war.<\/p>\n

As the UN continues to work to address the immediate humanitarian needs, we also recognise a long road ahead to bring back safety, dignity, stability, and opportunity to all Palestinians who have lost everything in this conflict.<\/p>\n

UNDP stands ready to support the Palestinian people and calls for immediate international support to help restore their lives and livelihoods.<\/p>\n
