From Philippe Lazzarini, the UNRWA Commissioner-General as posted on his official X account.<\/em><\/p>\n In the Occupied Palestinian Territory, access to education is under attack in plain sight.<\/p>\n Lands and homes have been taken away from Palestinians but not education, considered as a national pride and investment for a better future.<\/p>\n In Gaza, hundreds of thousands of children have been out of formal school since October 2023.<\/p>\n UNRWA is keeping them learning in temporary spaces and online lessons, despite huge obstacles. But they need to get back into the classroom.<\/p>\n In the West Bank, displacement, school closures and daily stresses put 48,000 Palestine Refugee students at risk.<\/p>\n Add UNRWA\u2019s funding crisis and the risk of deep cuts to education programmes by the Agency and others: the risk of a lost generation is real.<\/p>\n UNRWA has made access to education for all Palestine Refugees a priority.
