Ahead of Nelson Mandela International Day, Indigenous youth from the United States engaged in a powerful dialogue with 2025 UN Nelson Mandela Prize laureate Brenda Reynolds.

The conversation underscored the importance of youth-led leadership, Indigenous knowledge, and inclusive dialogue in promoting justice and human rights.

The initiative began in Washington, D.C., when a congressional inquiry to the UN Information Center led to a special briefing on Indigenous issues during the group’s visit to UN Headquarters in New York.
