COP 15

In the lead up to COP15, the DSD organized two key meetings where technology for adaptation was the focus.
The Beijing High-Level Conference on Climate Change: Technology Development and Technology Transfer (November 2008) and its follow-up, the New Delhi High-level Conference on Climate Change: Technology Development and Transfer (22-23 October 2009).

Currently Member States are engaged in negotiations with the aim of adopting an outcome at , Denmark for post-2012 timeframe. Key issues on the negotiating agenda are adaptation, mitigation, finance and technology. or the for more details.

DSD Side Events (COP15) ... Archive

• 16 Dec: COP-15 Side Event:
  International Cooperation on Technology Transfer: Time for Action
  
  Low-carbon technologies are central to meeting the challenges, and taking advantage of the opportunities, posed by climate change. This UN-coordinated side event will focus on actions and programmes related to clean energy technologies, with a specific emphasis on international cooperation.

  International Governance of Geoengineering Research:
  
  Three COP15 side events that comprised the series "Science, Research and International Governance of Geoengineering" took place in Copenhagen between December 10 and 18, 2009. Tariq Banuri (DSD director) is one of the discussants in the side event #3. Full video coverage available here.
