Description
The OECD Development Assistance Committee’s (DAC) Network on Gender Equality (GENDERNET) commits to strengthen accountability for the effective implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 5 and the other targets on gender equality in the SDGs by systematically tracking and analysing aid statistics and donor practice in support of achieving gender equality, women鈥檚 empowerment and the realisation of women鈥檚 human rights.

All members of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) Development Assistance Committee (DAC).
Targets
鈥ncrease ODA in support of gender equality, both through dedicated programmes (marked 鈥減rincipal鈥 with the DAC Gender Equality Policy Marker) and through gender mainstreaming (marked 鈥渟ignificant鈥).
鈥ddress underinvestment in women鈥檚 economic rights through increasing ODA in support of gender equality in the economic and productive sectors (both principal and significant).
鈥mplement a new code in the DAC鈥檚 statistical system to track and analyse 鈥 for the first time ever 鈥 ODA in support of ending violence against women and girls, including female genital mutilation and early and forced marriage.
鈥mprove coverage and quality of reporting on ODA in support of gender equality and women鈥檚 rights.
鈥ncourage OECD-DAC countries to report on the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation鈥檚 Gender Equality Indicator which monitors the proportion of countries that track and make public allocations for gender equality.

鈥uantity of ODA that is reported as principal and significant with the DAC Gender Equality Marker 鈥 overall and by sector 鈥 in particular in the economic and productive sectors.
鈥id statistics published annually for each DAC donor on the amount and proportion of their ODA in support of ending violence against women and girls.
鈥ew supporting guidance and minimum standards developed to support DAC agencies in applying the gender equality policy marker.
鈥umber of countries reporting on the Global Partnership Gender Equality Indicator.
