This is to inform delegates and staff that the Conference Building will be closed to non-essential personnel on the morning of Wednesday, 27 May 2026 (Eid al-Adha) from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, for electrical maintenance. During this period, regular lighting, power to workstations, vertical transportation systems, and some HVAC and plumbing systems will be out of service or running at reduced or limited capacities.
The affected areas will be operating on emergency power during the shutdown, including life safety systems, emergency lighting, and telecommunications equipment. The Secretariat Building, South Annex Building, General Assembly Building North Lawn Building, and Dag Hammarskj?ld Library Building will not be affected. All maintenance work is expected to be completed by 12:00 noon.
All staff whose presence is not required in the building, are requested to plan to work from home or another location. Remote working capabilities will be unaffected.
