Awaza, 5 August 2025 – The Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) opened today in Awaza, Turkmenistan, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders under the theme "Driving Progress through Partnerships".
This High-Level special event focuses on advancing the call in the Awaza Programme of Action for a conducive multilateral trade framework to support the Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) to address the unique challenges these countries face in global trade.
OHRLLS played an active and pivotal role in preparations for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4), held in Sevilla, Spain, from 30 June to 3 July 2025.
The meeting is convened to brief all UN Member States, Observers and relevant stakeholders on the logistics of the upcoming LLDC3 on 5-8 August 2025 in Awaza, Turkmenistan, and to walk through the overall programme.
SIDE EVENTS AT THE 2025 ECOSOC YOUTH FORUM
The second Ambassadorial Meeting of the Group of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) under the Bureau for the years 2025–2026 was held on 7 April 2025. The meeting was chaired by Bolivia, with Kyrgyzstan as Vice-Chair, alongside the Bureau members from Eswatini, Lao PDR, Rwanda, and Zimbabwe. The Group welcomed briefings by Ms.
