Catalyzing Investment and Partnerships for SIDS - The SIDS Global Business Network as a Practical Platform for Delivery
This event is convened in alignment with the theme of the 2026 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, in support of transformative, equitable, innovative and coordinated actions to advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals, with particular attention to the priorities and circumstances of Small Island Developing States.
Guided by the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS(ABAS), the event will provide a platform to discuss how strengthened investment, private sector engagement and partnerships can support sustainable energy, climate-resilient infrastructure and broader sustainable development outcomes in SIDS. It will also highlight the role of the SIDS Global Business Network and the Island Investment Forum in mobilizing sustainable finance, supporting national priorities and fostering a conducive environment for sustainable business development.
The event will also contribute to preparations for the 2026 SIDS Global Business Network Forum and the launch of the Island Investment Forum, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences, identify practical solutions and inform efforts to further strengthen the SIDS Global Business Network and the SIDS Partnership Framework to ensure they are responsive to SIDS needs and realities.
