UN 2.0 Week convened, bringing together over 16,000 participants for exchanges and dialogue on strengthening UN system capacities in innovation, data, digital transformation, foresight and behavioural science to accelerate the delivery of the UN’s mandate.

All United Nations entities have integrated priorities for innovation, data, digital transformation, strategic foresight and behavioural science into their strategic and programme plans, with 100 per cent of strategic plans and 35 per cent of programme plans reflecting these "UN 2.0" priorities, with progress tracked through annual system-wide assessments.

Milestone 4 | Deadline 31 December 2026
Leadership and workforce transformation completed, with 70 per cent of senior leaders including innovation, data and digital transformation objectives in their performance compacts, 75 per cent completing new leadership development modules, and 50 per cent of staff having learning goals linked to innovation, data or digital skills.

Milestone 5 | Deadline 31 December 2026
Specialist expertise strengthened across the United Nations system, with 15 per cent of new hires in roles dedicated to innovation, data, digital transformation, foresight or behavioural science, and 55 per cent of new job profiles including a basic level of data/digital competencies, with 60 per cent of entities achieving high maturity on system-wide transformation scorecards.

Milestone 6 | Deadline 31 December 2026
Joint Centres of Excellence and shared digital infrastructure established through system-wide reviews, enabling pooled data and technology capacity across entities and supporting modernization under the Technology Accelerator Platform, as part of the UN80 reform agenda to make the United Nations more coordinated, agile and future-ready.
