The main objective of the business seminar programme is to inform potential vendors and trade entities, including Chambers of Commerce, about the work of the United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD). The seminars also provide information on the UN procurement process, vendor registration procedures and how to find business opportunities.

The seminars are often organised through governments, agencies and Permanent Missions to the UN.
