Introducing the Updated UN Procurement Mobile App

Submitted by Maximiliano Lopez on

The United Nations Procurement Division is pleased to announce the release of the updated UN Procurement Mobile App, available for both Android and iOS devices.

Designed to support the UN Secretariat procurement community around the world, the updated app provides a more modern, accessible, and user-friendly way to view United Nations procurement information, initiate vendor registration, and stay informed about relevant opportunities.

The new app has been redesigned to align more closely with the UN Procurement website, helping users move more easily between web and mobile platforms.

What’s New

1) Mobile Vendor Registration

Vendors can now initiate their registration with the UN Secretariat directly from their mobile devices. This feature is intended to make the registration process more accessible to suppliers globally and to support broader participation in United Nations procurement activities.

2) Support for the Six Official UN Languages

The updated app is available in the six official languages of the United Nations: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish.

This multilingual functionality supports the UN’s commitment to accessibility and enables vendors to access procurement information in their preferred official UN language.

3) Access to Procurement Information

Through the app, users can access a range of procurement-related information, including:

  • ? Expressions of Interest
  • ? Requests for Information
  • ? Tender opening schedules
  • ? Contract awards
  • ? Purchase order awards
  • ? Seminars
  • ? Articles and bulletins
  • ? Procurement Manual

4) Customisable Push Notifications**

The updated app allows users to customise push notifications according to their preferences. Notifications may be filtered by:

  • ? Content types, such as Expressions of Interest, Request for Information, Contract and Purchase Order Awards, Business Seminars, Articles or Bulletins;
  • ? Country or territory, based on the user’s key areas of interest;
  • ? Commodity types, based on the goods or services offered by the vendor;
  • ? Language preference, because multilingual notifications are available.

Transition to the Updated App

Users are encouraged to download and begin using the updated UN Procurement Mobile App. The previous version of the app will continue to work until 31 July 2026. Please update your app ahead of this date to ensure continued access to mobile procurement services.

Important Note on Push Notifications

** Push notifications are provided as an optional and supplementary information service. Delivery of push notifications cannot be guaranteed, as it may depend on factors beyond the control of the United Nations, including mobile device settings, operating system restrictions, internet connectivity, and third-party notification services. Users should not rely on push notifications as their sole source of procurement information or as a business continuity tool. Vendors and suppliers remain responsible for regularly checking the UN Procurement website and the mobile app for the latest procurement notices, updates, and deadlines.
